Thripitakabhivandana Week - Pindapatha Dhana and Procession

Pindapatha Dhana programmes were held in Gomarankadawala Divisional Secreatriat Premises  on 2019.03.16 Saturday in view of the Thripitakabhivandana week which is a part of a campaign to declare the Theravada Thripitakaya a world heritage. Pictures show the Pindapatha procession led by Chief Incumbent of the Medawachchiya Surulumahamuniyawa Rajamaha Viharaya starting Zonal Education Office touring the Gomarankadwala Town to the Divisional, Secretariat Office. Divisional Secretary, SMC Samarakoon Gomarankadawala OIC, and Officers of Government Offices of Gomarankadawala area also accompanied the Maha Sangha who participated in the programme.

Activities of Grama Shakthi Week - 7th Day - 2019.02.29 - Day of 'Cultural Activities'

Under the Grama Shakthi People’s Movement 18th to 24th February has declared as Grama Shakthi week and during the week, several programs will be implemented to enhance the awareness of the public and to bring together the people. 

Cutural Programme was held in Medawachchiya GND in Gomarankadwala DS Division as the final day activity with the Participation of Coommunity in the GND.

Under the Grama Shakthi People’s Movement 18th to 24th February has declared as Grama Shakthi week and during the week, several programs will be implemented to enhance the awareness of the public and to bring together the people. 
A Community awareness Programme was held in Kandamalawa GND in Gomarankadwala DS Division as the fifth day activity with the Participation of the Police and the Gramashakthi Officers in the GND.
