Activities of Grama Shakthi Week - 1st Day - 2019.02.18 - Day of 'Sramadana'

Under the Grama Shakthi People’s Movement 18th to 24th February has declared as Grama Shakthi week and during the week, several programs will be implemented to enhance the awareness of the public and to bring together the people. 

'Sramadana' work was held in Bakmeegama GN Division in Gomarankadwala DS Division as a first day activity.

Under the Grama Shakthi People’s Movement 18th to 24th February has declared as Grama Shakthi week and during the week, several programs will be implemented to enhance the awareness of the public and to bring together the people. 

A Sramadana Programme  was held in Kandamalawa GND in Gomarankadwala DS Division as the first day activity with the Participation of Community and the Gramashakthi Officers in the GND.

HE President Declares Open Bakmeegama Tank at Gomarankadawala

President Maithripala Sirisena vested the Gomarankadawala Bakmeegama tank to the public today which is renovated under the  ‘Sirisara Pivisuma’ project  a development initiative of the government which aims to uplift the economic standard of the rural community.  

The Chief Incumbent of North Eastern provinces Ven. Polhengoda Uparathana Thero and Maha Sanhga, Leader of Opposition R.Sampanthan ,member of Parliament Thuriyrathna Sigham, Organizer for Trinclomalee electorate Ariyawathi Galapaththi, and other members and public representatives of the eastern province, Secretary of Trincomalee District Nissanaka Pushpakumara, Director of President’s Special projects Priyantha Pathirana, Divisional Secreatary S. M. C. Samarakoon, Director of Sirisara Pivisuma Project Brigadier Neranjan Ramanayake, Director of Constructions Major Chamika Jagoda and other officers were present in this event.
